The worst streaming service
This service is full of errors and the customer service is absolutely pathetic. I experienced multiple different error messages, the playback kept cutting out, audio/video was sometimes misaligned and episodes were under the wrong titles. Eventually I got locked out of my account and could not even log to use the service at all. I tried contacting the support email support@hayu .com multiple times but they were unhelpful and unresponsive. I had to continually contact hayu via social media so they could remind their email team to respond to me. The rare times the email team responded they did not help me resolve my issues and one time even said they couldn't find my account at all. I paid for a service that was completely unusable and was disgusted that no-one on the support team cared at all. After over a week of sending multiple emails and social media messages (which were rarely responded to and provided no solution to my problems) I finally asked for a refund as I paid for a subscription I couldn't use. My emails asking for a refund were ignored. Both the quality of this app and the quality of the service is so poor, no-one should ever subscribe, it is not worth it.

I had signed up last year, and even though I unsubscribed they continued to charge me for a year! I contacted them 3 times and still they didn't help me.

I had contacted customer service to dispute the bills and they never deigned to point out to me that my disenrollment did not go through. In good faith they should have simply warned me of this instead they always played it down and I had to pay for a year.

In addition, the quality of this service is TERRIBLE, the picture and sounds do not match, the series freezes and does not restart where you left off if you close the page.

Do not spend money on this site, it is NOT worth it, it is a SCAM!

Guys this app is a fraud
Guys this app is a fraud, when you sign in as a new member, it just give you some matches where girls show interest in chat like so obsessed, after certain chat messages the app doesn’t allow you to send more messages, they want you to subscribe. Where as the girl in the chat keep texting, where you gone? You left me on read? I am interested in you. So when you see those messages and you can’t send any more messages you buy that subscription and when you buy that subscription that girl just chat with you few messages and ghost you. So she is probably working for the Hayo and thats their tactics to make money. Guys/Girls be aware. This app is a fraud.

1. App crashes all the time
2. Logs me out randomly
3. Does not always load the last episode you were on after crashing
4. i pay for the app and you make us watch advertisements without a skip option. We pay to not watch advertising!!
5. The whole app is dis functional and annoying to navigate through

Worst customer service
I have cancelled my subscription months ago but they kept charging me. They never replied to my emails. I had to get my bank to block the transactions.

Use another streaming service
I’ve been using Hayu on and off for about 5 years. I recently subscribed after not being on it since 2019. Such a massive change in terms of service and overall value. I use to be able to watch Hayu on my tv via a hdmi cable connected to my phone. For some reason this no longer works despite updating my devices. The app was glitching on my phone and so I contacted Hayu, also sent screenshots. Very disappointed that I have been ignored on Twitter and via Emails from Hayu. I have now unsubscribed and will be deleting my account! I will never use this sight again.

Subscription cancelled with 11.5 months remaining!
I changed my subscription from monthly to annually and two weeks into my annual subscription I received an email saying that I had chosen to cancel my subscription and it would end the next day! Even if I had stayed on the monthly plan and had indeed cancelled my subscription (which I didn’t!) I still would have had two weeks remaining. After getting in touch with Hayu, they requested proof that I had paid for an annual subscription, which I was able to easily prove but I have not heard back from them at all, despite me sending a further four emails seeking to have my account reactivated. So my subscription is paid until 2/04/2023 but I am unable to access Hayu without signing up and paying again, which I refuse to do on principle. It sucks because it’s one of the only streaming services that I have that I routinely watch, but I just can’t stomach paying them twice.

Dreadful Service Provided
Dreadful service shows are never uploaded for customers paying Hay U to watch via Prime
There are numerous complaints every week if you look at the Instagram, Facebook & Twitter pages but social media team roll out the same “we are looking into this” response week in week out
This company doesn’t provide customers with the service they pay for and doesn’t care when you tell them

Frauds - take your money despite cancelling
App stopped working on TV, gave a free month and said I can use on iPad, etc. Emailed back saying I didn’t want that and to cancel. Last I heard from them. A month later money came out again and still refused to respond to any emails. Bandits

The worst app ever!
It is the worest app i have ever used, doesnt refresh at all i have to log off and login again ti see the latest.
Always glitch, some episodes playing at the background, also when episode finishes it continues on random show and when I click on one show another show starts
Unbelievably bad like the worst app ever created
I have complained to customer services which they replied with the usual log off uninstall unplug ut apple TV, plug on restart etc
Done it so many times nothing happened and when I say that they stop replying to me
The only reason I gave them one star is bcos I have to put something on otherwise they shouldn't even get a star

Worst tv subscription going
Constantly freezing. The volume randomly goes to mute frequently and it always disconnects from my tv. I am so annoyed by this service

HayU does not care that it objectively sucks
Let me preface this by saying that HayU doesn't care about negative reviews, it's customers or their own platform.

It is by far the worst streaming service I have ever used. Watching a mirrored, shaky and blurry video on YouTube is a better option than HayU because at least you have a chance of actually watching something, dare I say all the way through an episode.

HayU have not invested in or updated their UI or any technology since its inception. The interface is reminiscent of (JUST) post dial up internet, in that it's janky, has no ease of use and is probably a template from WordPress that a high schooler could have knocked up.

As far as it working...sometimes episodes just won't work (error retrieving content), sometimes HayU just flashes a blank screen when you're trying to just access your shows, episodes stop mid way sometimes multiple times per episodes for no reason and you have to refresh the page, then IF you're lucky, not have to click through to find where you were. Binge watching? Not possible. At least not without stopping and staring AND having to continuously click back to full screen between every episode IF you even managed to get through one without HayU having several meltdowns.

There is ZERO investment on tech, ZERO investment on website updates/UI and almost no investment on shows. Not feasible to make new shows like Netflix etc... but there's quite literally thousands of reality tv shows they could license, but there's BARELY anything new on there since I first did a free trial YEARS ago.

It's essentially the same price as Netflix and the shows that actually might justify any cost at all are readily and easily available for streaming online for free if you know where to look. Also...you might actually get to watch a whole episode.

Waste of time and money, also takes a RIDICULOUS amount of bandwidth/data to watch a single episode. More than double a whole film would take on Netflix at higher quality and on a usable site. Don't know what they're funneling in the coding but such a basic stream of a 40min show in terrible quality on such a basic site with no features DEFINITELY shouldn't be that heavy.
